Course Description:
An experiential training retreat in Punta de Mita, Mexico, designed for the LMT, Ayurvedic professionals and bodyworkers, Holistic Bodyworkers, Estheticians, and self-care enthusiasts. Held at an Ayurvedic Retreat and Spa, the training sessions weave Ayurveda and Yoga together and participants will leave with multiple services and self-care practices that can be integrated into their wellness practice and self-care routines. Learn two Marma Therapy practices for relaxation, meditation and facial rejuvenation, Kansa Wand routines for face, feet and body, Ayurvedic essential oils blending, Ayurveda daily routines, yoga laws of conduct according to the Yamas and Niyamas and yoga sessions for the bodyworker and caregiver.
Course Objectives:
1) Understand the SVA Marma Therapy method and techniques
2) Perform 2 unique SVA Marma Therapy routines that can be added on to services or used for self care
3) Perform 3 Kansa Wand routines for the face, feet and body that can be added on to the services or used for self care
4) Create Ayurvedic inspired Essential Oil blends for the Marma and Kansa routines
5) Integrate Ayurveda and Yoga daily practices (dinacharya) that support the bodyworker and self-care provider

Provider/Faculty Bio:
Carol Nace is an Ayurvedic and Panchakarma Chef and Bodyworker. Her studies over the last 18 years, are extensively focused on Ayurvedic cooking, panchakarma, bodywork, marma therapy and pulse reading. A common thread through all of Carol’s studies is the alignment with the 5,000+ year old Ayurveda lineage of Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda, brought to the U.S. by Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra. Carol is a NAMA Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, Panchakarma Technician, Certified Professional Ayurvedic Chef, Licensed Massage Therapist and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach.
Kathleen Wright is the founder and director of the Garden of Yoga, and cofounder of Yoga Circle and Wild Onion Yoga in Chicago, Ill. Together Kathleen and Patricia Layton founded the Bhavana Institute for Yoga and Ayurveda. In 1974, Kathleen began her formal studies of Yoga under the direct guidance of Swami Veda Bharati of the Himalayan Tradition. She began teaching in 1976. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Movement Education, and is a 1983 graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute. Kathleen is a nationally certified Iyengar Yoga instructor at the Junior Intermediate level, an experienced certified Yoga Therapist, and Certified Ayurvedic Educator. She is a beloved teacher known for her love of Yoga and her keen and compassionate eye recognizing and working with students’ abilities and possibilities. She continues to serve as a mentor and teacher to many of the Chicago area’s top Yoga teachers and the Yoga community at large on local and national levels.
