Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 5pm Pacific, with Susan Bass, MS, AD, C-IAYT
Ayurveda’s approach to food cravings is quite unique in the world of nutrition. For one reason, there is no word for calorie in Ayurveda. Ayurveda has an important perspective to offer on this topic as it focuses on your body’s response to the food, not how the food tests in a petri dish. Through an Ayurvedic approach, food cravings can be addressed in a way that doesn’t involve ignoring the imbalance but instead understanding the root cause of the imbalance.
Susan Bass holds a Master of Science in Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine from Maharishi International University. She is Ayurvedic Doctor Level Certified through NAMA. Susan founded the NAMA & IAYT recognized school the Sarasvati Institute of Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy. In addition to teaching at her school, she is currently working for Kaiser Permanente on a research study using Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy to support breast cancer survivors in their recovery process.
