State Associations
State Ayurvedic organizations play a very important role for the profession at large by organizing the professional community in their state to not only serve as a support network but also raise public awareness through events and community efforts. Additionally, each state association will be able to lobby the state government to support recognition of the Ayurvedic profession and to keep an eye on any legislative initiatives that could hinder the progress of our profession. All these tasks must be accomplished at the state level. NAMA is committed to supporting these groups in any way we can to lay the groundwork for widespread acceptance of Ayurveda in the United States.
