Herbalism and the Polyvagal Theory

Monday, April 22, 2024 at 5:00 pm with Elizabeth Guthrie, AHC

Polyvagal theory helps us to understand more clearly how the vagus nerve responds to trauma and what we can do to alleviate the symptoms of unresolved trauma. Ayurveda holds many therapies that can help a person who is struggling with unresolved trauma. In this seminar, we will discuss the basics of polyvagal theory, why someone may respond differently based on their nervous system state, and how that might inform our choice of Ayurvedic protocol.
