Integrative medicine is the latest buzzword in health care. Many Ayurvedic students enter school with an existing medical license. Discover how Western-licensed health professionals, such as doctors and psychologists, have integrated Ayurveda into their health care services.
Presenter 1: MD and Ayurveda
Renée Rossi, MD, CAP, has a Masters’ Degree in Ayurveda and serves as clinical faculty teaching Ayurveda at Mount Madonna Institute. Although no longer practicing western medicine, she spent 30 years as an Otolaryngologist (Ears, Nose & Throat) surgeon.
Presenter 2: Psychiatrist/Psychologist and Ayurveda
Mary Vaishnavi Roberson, PhD, CAP
Mary Vaishnavi Roberson, PhD, CAP, has practiced and studied the Vedic sciences since 1975. Her professional titles include medical technologist, clinical psychologist, Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, and Vedic Counselor. A lifelong student, practitioner, and teacher, she is currently pursuing certification in Vedic astrology.
Presenter 3: Other Western Licenses and Ayurveda
Rucha Kelkar, BAMS, AD, PT, DPT
Rucha Kelkar, BAMS, AD, PT, DPT, owns Ayurbliss – Ayurveda, Physical Therapy and Yoga Integrative Wellness Center. Dr. Kelkar is an accomplished clinician, educator, speaker, and writer. She is a faculty member at leading Ayurvedic schools and has presented at multiple national Ayurvedic conferences.
