Call for Papers – Special Issue on Ayurveda Biology

Ayurveda is a traditional, sophisticated, and holistic system of health care. Ayurveda biology integrates traditional holistic knowledge with modern systems biology and medicine.

The Special Issue will explore the underlying biology of the full range of Ayurvedic principles and practices and their implications for a contemporary health scene dominated by global epidemics of communicable diseases, such as COVID-19, and noncommunicable chronic diseases, such as diabetes and cancer. The scope of Ayurvedic principles and practices considered for this issue will extend across the complete spectrum of health issues covered by the classical Ayurvedic texts—from the physiological and environmental to the psychological and psychospiritual—all from a biological perspective.

Contributions are welcome in the form of Original Research Articles, Thought Leadership Articles, General Articles, Pedagogies, Case Reports/Case Series, Short Communications, Review Articles, Short Reviews, Discussion Kernels, Vignettes, Initiatives, Review of Landmark Articles, Correspondence, Protocols, and Practice Guidelines.
